Ainol NOVO 7 ELF was released for Chinese market, therefore, it has lots of Chinese apps pre-installed. It's great if you know Chinese, otherwise, you must be wondering how to remove Chinese from NOVO7 ELF.

It's actually very simple. In "Setttings->Privacy", Set it back to "Factory Setting". After that change the language from Chinese to English.

You will still see some Chinese characters on your virtual keyboard, that's because the default keyboard is set to Baidu keyboard. You can disable it in the keyboard setting, then you have a pure English version of Ainol NOVO7 ELF!

I can't access the settings screen because I can't read the chinese characters. Not just the apps. I know its a simple fix once you know where to go, but I can't get there. I tried to download ebooks or kindle, won't work.

I set the wifi settings to see my network and it sees my network but won't access the web. what am I missing? I found the download to load google apps, any problems with doing this?

Dear, This will only set the language to English. there are about 4-5 apps which display only chinese and needs to be removed. How do we remove them permanently? Currently I have disabled them.

I like the display but trying to get it to full English is frustrating. The manual does not address what is needed to make this easy. Please help or I will be forced to return unit.
