Post Q7s Phablet help

Hi,

Noticed I could not find any help on Q7s tablet which I bought. I would gladly need some help here.

At the point on receiving the phablet, I tried using it for few days and it was dead slow and very unresponsive. However, I strongly believe its the android OS issues(ver 4.2.2), I can somehow feel the OS is very buggy as I keep getting force close prompts.

I tried getting roms for this version to flash but I seems to get the wrong one flashed in. Now it is not working and I would kindly need help from admins to link me to the correct rom downloads. If possible to provide various versions of roms would be the best as the current 4.2.2 version is very buggy.

*Posting on forums so that help from admins can also benefit others

Thanks!
Toshie

Hi,

I came back to follow up on this post and share my experiences. Sad to say I am very disappointed with this particular tablet (Q7s). It could have been a good tablet if efforts were put in to solve the bugs in the OS. I can actually feel the processing power at times when the android could run smooth.

I write in(by email too) for help around Oct 2013 in hope to get a better firmware version but seems like they have the one and only buggy version 4.2.2 as stated above. I tolerated using the buggy Android version for about 5 months in hope to find an alternative solutions before I decided to give up. Probably I am one of the very patient user already. Many times when my friends and colleagues saw the performance, I was being advice to just change it away.

I believe I had done my part as a consumer by writing in feedbacks(during Sept 2013 period) to help out in the development/fix releases of this version of Android. In my email, I had describe in detail how slow the machine can be(it even hangs like 15mins or more before returning to normal), what are the apps I have used that was having problems so that developers can use it for troubleshooting.
The tablet is also draining a lot of battery power uncontrollably which I also believe is the Android OS problems(might be too many hidden redundant system processes running in the background that can't be closed). The tablet gets warm very easily(signs of huge battery drainage) even when using simple apps.

I had finally give up this year and move on to change over to another cheap tablet from elsewhere. With the new tablet, I am having so much better experiences(it is also quad core based), less or close to no bugs. I am also receiving OTA(over the air) updates with their Android OS. The tablet also comes with built in GPS module although same price range as the Q7s. I could get the support I needed with their responsive support team. Now the Q7s is just sitting in my house for my parent to play some simple games and watch shows.

The following is just my experience on this particular Q7s tablet. I have no comments with the other models.
I feel that I have to be fair to other users by writing the feedback for this particular model.

The thread is opened for any advice anytime.

Thanks!
