Ainol NOVO 10 Hero is 10.1 inch tablet with dual-core CPU, NOVO 10 Hero II will be quad-core

Ainol showed off its new 10.1″ tablet Ainol NOVO 10 Hero last weekend at China Electronics Fair held in Hong Kong. The demo unit is actually powered by quad-core CPU as rumored, but it will be released some time next year as NOVO 10 Hero II . Ainol will release NOVO 10 Hero early next month for the Christmas shopping season powered by  the same dual-core CPU as used in Ainol NOVO 7 Flame and Crystal, but it has added built-in GPS. It’s basically an Ainol NOVO 7 Flame with 10’1 inch IPS screen and built-in GPS.

Ainol Novo 10 Hero is the first 10.1 inch tablet released by Ainol. It uses the 1280×800 pixel 180 degree viewing angle IPS capacitive screen made by Samsung (the same screen used on Samsung Galaxy Tab 10) and runs Google’s latest Android 4 .1 Jelly Bean (the same OS seen on Google Nexus 7 ). NOVO 10 Hero is powered by  a 1.5GHz AMLogic ARM 2nd generation Cortex-A9 based dual-core CPU with built-in quad-core Mali 400 GPU. It has built-in GPS, so you can use it as a big screen GPS in your car. It has dual-cameras – 2MP front facing webcam and 3MP rear facing camera. NOVO 10 Hero has HDMI port so that you can play video and games on your big screen HD TV. Ainol NOVO 10 Hero has Google Play (Android Market) pre-installed. It supports bluetooth 2.1, so you can connect it with bluetooth keyboard (like our uPlay wireless keyboard case ) and bluetooth game controller.
