You can see overall Google Nexus 7 has slight better specs than Ainol NOVO 7 Aurora II . Google Nexus 7 has bluetooth and near-field sensor that Ainol NOVO 7 Aurora II doesn’t have; The big drawback of Google Nexus 7 is that it doesn’t have micro-SD card slot, so you cannot add expandable storage, while Ainol NOVO 7 Aurora II can add up to 32GB expandable storage by micro-SD card. Another big drawback of Google Nexus 7 is that it doesn’t have HDMI port, so you cannot play video on your big screen HD TV. The third big drawback is that Android 4 .1 doesn’t support FLASH any more. So you won’t be able to watch Flash video on many website just like iPad . Ainol NOVO 7 Aurora II, on the other hand, is running Android 4.0.4, and it has a dedicated hardware accelerated version of FLASH that Adobe developed in particularly for AMLogic . In addition, Ainol NOVO 7 Aurora II is about 1mm thinner than Google Nexus 7. Both are pretty much made by the same factory (Ainol used to make OEM product for Asustek). The price difference is $80 – Ainol NOVO 7 Aurora II is $80 cheaper than Google Nexus 7.

Conclusion: If you are willing to spend $60 more, you should go with Google Nexus 7. If you are tight on budget, but still want a high quality product similar to Google Nexus 7, Ainol NOVO 7 Aurora II will be your best bet. If you care about expandable storage or HDMI, or want to use the tablet to watch videos on those popular online video sites, then Google Nexus 7 won’t work, you have to go with Aurora II.
