We received the Aurora II English version from Ainol on May 15, 2012. All other online stores are selling the Chinese version even if they are lucky to get a hold of Aurora II. This new English version Aurora II includes English language and apps on the tablet, English package box, and English manual. This is the front side of the package – looks clean and nice.
The backside of the English version Aurora II package lists the major features of Aurora II in English.
The tablet itself is wrapped in a dedicated box within the package for better protection.

Notice any difference? The only main difference is that the Novo 7 Aurora II has an IPS Capacitive Screen while the Novo 7 Elf II doesn’t. In addition, Aurora II has 16GB storage, which ELF II has 8GB. For those who do not know what IPS is, IPS stands for In-Plane Switching which was developed by Hitachi back in 1996. An IPS display gives you a better display, more vivid color, and a wider angle for viewing. See the comparison below.

Well, if you are fine with a non-IPS display, and the $20 difference is big enough for you, then you might settle for the Ainol Novo 7 ELF II.
