You might be able to find some online stores selling Aurora for a few dollars cheaper, but all of those stores are selling the Chinese version for the China domestic market – the default language in the tablet , reference manual, product warranty card, and package are all in Chinese. There is no official Google Market/ Google Play and Adobe FLASH player installed. Most of those stores are based in Shenzhen, China. It would cost your $40~$60 to ship your tablet back to them if you need replacement or repair, while uPlay Tablet is Ainol’s distributor in North America, our office and customer service are in Silicon Valley, California, your return and repair are handled in California as well.

- Support hardware acceleration of Android 4.0.3 user interface. It’s much faster and smoother when sliding or switching between different windows than previous version.

We received the new Aurora English version from Ainol on May 15, 2012. All other online stores are selling the Chinese version even if they are lucky to get a hold of Aurora. This new English version Aurora includes English language and apps on the tablet, English package box, and English manual. This is the front side of the package – looks clean and nice. 
The backside of the English version Aurora package lists the major features of Aurora in English. The tablet itself is wrapped in a dedicated box within the package for better protection. 
The new English version of Aurora comes with Ainol Product Warranty Card in English.

Notice any difference? The only main difference is that the Novo 7 Aurora has an IPS Capacitive Screen while the Novo 7 Elf doesn’t. For those who do not know what IPS is, IPS stands for In-Plane Switching which was developed by Hitachi back in 1996. An IPS display gives you a better display, more vivid color, and a wider angle for viewing. See the comparison below. 
The price difference is $20 USD. Is it worth the IPS upgrade ? Well, if you are fine with a non-IPS display, and the $20 difference is big enough for you, then you might settle for the Ainol Novo 7 ELF.
